– DOZENS KILLED IN HIZBULLAH STRONGHOLD IN BEIRUT

At least 45 and most likely many more were killed in Beirut, on Thursday 11/12/2015 evening,  following two explosions that rocked the capital’s southern Burj el-Barajneh, an originally Palestinian refugees camp and nowadays a stronghold of the Shia Hezbollah movement.  Over 200 were injured according to initial reports.

The attacks, believed to have been carried out by 3 suicide bombers, were 200 meters away from a Hezbollah-run hospital, the report added.

The Shia Hizbullah is for long a prime target for Islamic Sunni militants in Syria and Lebanon and is extremely stretched after the recent fighting in Syria.

The Islamic State claimed, soon after, responsibility for the double bombings. They vowed for more attacks against Shiite areas.

Among the 45 dead is a senior official in the Iranian Shiite terror proxy Hezbollah, Hajj Hussein Yaari (Abu Murdata).

* In a statement, on Thusday 11/12/2015 evening,  ISIS said the aim of the attack was to kill Shia Muslims. Local media identified the three suicide bombers, saying two of them were Palestinians and one Syrian. It was not possible to verify ISIS’s claim of responsibility.
