Aabid Hussain Khan

Aabid Hussain Khan was born in 10/04/1984, is the cousin of Sultan Muhammed. He is a resident of Bradford, West Yorkshire and a UK citizen. Aabid Hussain Khan was twice married, unemployed and has spent long periods out of UK.
In 2005 Aabid Hussain Khan visited in Canada some friends, later accused as members of the Toronto 06 cell. Afterwards Aabid Hussain Khan moved to Pakistan where he, among other things, got married with his second wife, a local woman Mehnaz .
Aabid Hussain Khan was arrested at Manchester Airport on 06/06/2006, on his return from Pakistan, on suspicions that he was in continuous e-mail correspondence with members of the Toronto 06 cell in Canada, who were arrested on 06/02/2006, and with Mohammed Atif Siddique.
Aabid Hussain Khan is alleged to led the Yorkshire Cell and to have participated in a password-protected Jihadist Internet forum also used by several other terror suspects, including some of Toronto 06 cell.
In his online postings, he defended Lashkar-e-Toiba, a Pakistan militant group linked to the Taliban and Al-Qaeda, that are blamed for terrorist attacks in the disputed mountain region of Kashmir.
Aabid Hussain Khan’s trial alongside Sultan Muhammed, Ahmed Sulieman, and 17 years old Hamaad Munshi, was opened on 01/19/2007. On 07/15/2008 Jurors in Aabid Hussain Khan’s trial have heard he visited Balakot in Pakistan which hosted a training camp for terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed.
On 08/19/2008, Aabid Hussain Khan was convicted in court and sentenced for 12 years imprisonment.
